Noah is doing really well in his big boy bed, wearing big boy
underwear and enjoying himself tremendously in his new pre-school.

Lila rolled over for the first time! She's also getting ever more
engaged with the external world. Her favorite game is catching your
attention and then smiling herself into total gleeful delirium.

I was putting Noah to bed and he said, "you know what I'd like?"

"what"

"a bear"

"actually Noah, you've got a bear, Mickey. He was my very first toy. He was given to me by your great grandmother."

"oh" and he hugs Mickey tight.

"she also made the afghan that you sleep with every night."

"oh. What was her name?"

"Leah. She loved you very much"

"I'd like to meet her"

Fighting back tears "she's gone"

"oh, did she fly far away?"

"yes, very far away"

"well, I hope she's flies back"

And now I'm lying here, next to Karen and Lila. We named Lila after Leah, and one day we'll tell Noah all about Leah, and why his sister's name is Lila.
